Conker Construction

Home Garden Office and Storage Facility

The basis of this Bristol garden room construction began with a back-of-garden old garden shed used purely for storage. This was taking up vital real estate. With a newborn on the way, our client was desperate to upgrade the shed to his home office, with a secret door to house overspill objects from the home.

Whilst the scope of the design was fairly straightforward, challenges were met when it came to the build, including being limited in width by neighbouring walls.

It was important to perfect this timber frame garden office design as a space where our client would want to spend every working day, making it as comfortable as possible. To ensure this, we employed Passivhaus principles, keeping the space toasty and inviting even during the dark winters.

The expansive French doors, spanning the width of the office area, make the office seemingly larger whilst allowing maximum daylight to infiltrate the space.
